CGRG is building up an incredible schedule for you this year, and we just couldn’t wait to share!

Are you waiting on tenterhooks for your chance to be a roller girl, ref, or non-skating official? You don’t have to wait long! A new Fresh Meat class will begin February 6 & February 13 — come to either date ready to learn about the sport, about the league, and try your hand at a few basic skills. Bring a mouthguard and an ID (skaters MUST be 21, Zebras must be 18). The events are listed on facebook here and here, and take place from 6-9 at the AC Brase Arena. Hope to see you there!

And games… are you ready for another season of fierce action and family-friendly entertainment? Mark your calendars (here’s a link to ours), because CGRG is starting the season with FOUR CGRG vs CGRG scrimmages. The hits are so hard you wouldn’t even guess that these women are friends! Make sure you’re free on March 10, March 31, May 19, and June 9 for these truly epic bouts-to-be.

Starting in July, CGRG takes their skills on the road (and at home with some dates TBA): On July 14, CGRG travels to Marion, IL to battle it out with SIRG! On October 20, CGRG heads to Clarksville, TN to take on the Red River Sirens.

And that’s not all! We’re scheduling some amazing off-skates events, filling in our bout schedule, and working hard to make 2012 the best season of the Cape Girardeau Roller Girls yet! We’re also happy to announce some returning hits:

The third annual CGRG Halloween Party will be held on October 26 — so start thinking of your costume now!

And you demanded it: the thrilling rematch of the Capetown Smackdown: PART III will hit the track on November 10!

Don’t worry, we’ll keep you posted with the details and new dates as they come. We can’t wait for 2012, and we can’t wait to share it with you!
