Goodbye 2011

The Cape Girardeau Roller Girls just celebrated the end of their first full season with an awards banquet. The awards, along with the chill in the air and the sound of holiday celebrations, remind us of how much has happened this year. The 2012 schedule is still in flux, but we’ll announce dates and opponents as soon as possible. Meanwhile, take a moment to remember the 2011 season with us:

In 2011…

• CGRG raised over $4,000 for charities in the Southeast Missouri area
• CGRG played in 9 games: one double header, two away, and two scrimmages
• 11 players were awarded MVP: Queen Cobra, Skayton Manning, Billie Lux (x2), The Bruise Fairy, Laryn Kill, Grenade O’Connor, Major Hattie Tude (x2), Bust Ya Ash, Sadie Istic, Sylvia Smash and The Woman 2 Blame
• Two classes of fresh meat graduated and joined the ranks of CGRG
• CGRG traveled 1,236 miles round trip to away games
